According to the mythology, Bacchus-the god of wine-have revenge on Diana.

In revenge, Bacchus stated that the first person he met on his way through the woods to be eaten by his tiger.

The first person who met with Bacchus was in fact a beautiful girl named Amethyst who was on her way to worship at the temple of Diana.

When attacked, Amethyst calls Diana to save her. Diana later changed Amethyst into a white stone figure and sparkling clean.

Realizing his mistake, Bacchus poured wine on the rocks that make purple amethyst.

In ancient Roman times, amethyst will be included in a wine glass to prevent the drinker to be too drunk.

In addition, the ancient Egyptians believed amethyst has the power used to maintain the pharaoh's tomb.
